ITINERARY

Day 1
Depart Los Angeles for Taipei on EVA Air, crossing the International Date Line.

Day 2
Connect for your flight to Phnom Penh arriving in the late morning. Transfer to hotel for a brief rest, followed by a city tour of Phnom Penh. French colonial influences can still be seen with many impressive old buildings restored to their former glory. Visits include the Silver Pagoda, one of the richest shrines in the world with a magnificent floor made up of over 5,000 solid silver tiles and is home to two priceless Buddha statues. In the late afternoon, cruise the Mekong River giving one an opportunity to view Phnom Penh from the river and the glorious sunset. Dinner at the Cho Pra Ya Restaurant.

Day 3
After breakfast, drive north through a wide plain of rice fields. Visit an 8th century temple and pagoda on a hilltop. Continue our journey to Oudong, which served as a capital of Cambodia from 1618 to 1866 and enjoy a picnic lunch. Visit the "Hill of the Royal Fortune" (Phnom Preah Reach Throap) where the Royal Family used to hide their treasures during war times.
In the afternoon, visit one of the city's lively open-air markets or Russian Market where you can find an eclectic mix of silks, gems, silver, antiques, T-shirts and more. Dinner at a local restaurant.

Day 4
After breakfast, our visit today will take us to Mekong Island by jetty. You will have an opportunity to view the rural Cambodian life. Mekong Island showcases the cultural heritage of Cambodia whereby you will find traditional crops being farmed, traditional handicrafts produced and traditional dances performed and a Khmer lunch served. Return to Phnom Penh by boat and transfer to Pochentong Airport for your flight home to USA. Or continue on to Siem Reap to see one of the seven wonders of the world "ANGKOR WAT" on our extension tour package.
